Project name: Borgata Shopping Center
Project Location: Midland, TX

Nieman Engineering was commissioned to design the new shopping center at the intersection of Loop 250 and Holiday Hill road in Midland, TX. This “Italian village” style shopping center was designed using structural steel framing with steel bar joists. To allow for future tenant improvements, moment frames were used as lateral resisting systems in lieu of braced frames. Nieman Engineering also provided light gauge steel framing design and details for this project. As usual, the steel connection design was included in our Construction Documents in order to cut the construction time by 3 to 5 months.

Project name: Red Oak Retail Center
Project Location: Midland, TX

Nieman Engineering provided ground-up structural engineering for this state of the art shopping center at the intersection of Loop 250 and Andrews Highway in Midland, TX. The structure was designed using structural steel framing with steel bar joists. One of the buildings had a 20-foot parapet which presented a challenge during the design. Nieman Engineering also provided light gauge steel framing design and details for this project. As usual, the steel connections design was included in our Construction Documents in order to cut the construction time.

Project name: Belmont Market Place
Project Location: Midland, TX

Nieman Engineering provided structural engineering for this shopping center that is located right off the Interstate 20 and Lamesa Rd in Midland, TX. The structure was designed using structural steel framing with moment framed girder trusses with a clear span of 65 feet. Nieman Engineering also provided light gauge steel framing design and details for this project. As usual, the steel connections design was included in our Construction Documents in order to cut the construction.

Project name: Thacker Jewelry
Project Location: Lubbock, TX

Nieman Engineering provided structural engineering for this jewelry store located on 82nd Street and Iola Ave in Lubbock, TX. This 8,000 square-foot structure is made of ICF walls, steel bar joist supported by continuous spread footings. One of the challenge on this project was the design of the bump-out at the front of the building where steel beams and drop columns were engineered to properly support the roof and building offsets.

Project name: Scoggin-Dickey Car Dealership
Project Location: Levelland, TX

Nieman Engineeing provided structural engineering for this car dealership and parts warehouse in Levelland, Tx.  This structure successfully combines the use of conventionally framed steel structure (Showroom/Offices) and pre-engineered metal building parts (Parts Warehouse).
